ABOUT AMY

Originally from Titusville, Florida, Amy earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, where she double-majored in French and International Affairs and minored in Russian. After a year of teaching English in Russia, she moved to California and spent 3 busy years pursuing an MA in Translation and an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Insititute of International Studies. Since then she has lived in West Africa, France, the US, and the Czech Republic, and established her business as a provider of a range of language services. Her time spent living in countries where her foreign languages are spoken (Quebec, France, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia so far), interactions with people, and studies have provided her with solid cultural understanding that she feels is essential to her work.

When she's not working, she enjoys traveling, running, hiking, yoga, cycling, cooking, making music, and learning new things. Currently studying Czech and Turkish, she hopes to add these too to her working languages one day.
