Translation, Abstracts, Gisting, Analysis

I pride myself on providing prompt and accurate translations of documents from Russian into English and French into English. I can also provide abstracts for documents that do not need to be translated in their entirety and English analyses of foreign language documents.

Proofreading, Editing, Localization

Already have a translation, or a document that just needs to be polished? I'd be happy to put on the finishing touches, by proofreading, editing, or localizing your document for its audience.

ABOUT AMY

Originally from Titusville, Florida, Amy earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, where she double-majored in French and International Affairs and minored in Russian. After a year teaching English in Russia, she moved to California, where she earned an MA in Translation and an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Since then she has lived in West Africa, France, the US, and the Czech Republic, and established her business as a provider of a range of language services. Her time spent living in countries where her foreign languages are spoken (Quebec, France, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Czech Republic), interactions with people, and studies have provided her with solid cultural understanding that she feels is essential to her work.

When she's not working, she enjoys traveling, running, hiking, yoga, cycling, dancing, cooking, making music, and learning new things. Currently studying Spanish and Turkish, she hopes to add these too to her working languages one day.
